Es Racó d’Artà: A Retreat to the Heart of Mallorca’s Natural Beauty

Tucked away in Mallorca’s unspoiled Llevant Peninsula, Es Racó d’Artà is an estate that connects deeply with the land, crafted to offer guests a serene, mindful experience. Originally a centuries-old finca, the estate has been lovingly restored using sustainable materials and traditional Mallorcan techniques, creating an atmosphere where luxury blends seamlessly with ecological respect. Each moment here is attuned to the rhythms of nature, whether it’s a dawn hike through the heather-covered hills or a sunset meditation surrounded by native pines and olive groves.

The Villa & Suites

Es Racó d'Artà provides a variety of room options designed to promote restfulness and reflection. The private villas and suites are beautifully minimalist, using natural textures and materials to create calming spaces that allow guests to feel truly immersed in their surroundings. With expansive windows and terraces, each room opens to the stunning landscape, ensuring guests can experience the peaceful beauty of Mallorca directly from their accommodation.

The Pool and Wellness

The pool at Es Racó d'Artà is more than just a place to swim; it is an integral part of the resort’s wellness offerings. Overlooking the lush landscape, the infinity pool provides a serene space for guests to relax and rejuvenate under the Mediterranean sun. For those seeking further relaxation, the wellness facilities at Es Racó d'Artà are comprehensive, with treatments designed to balance the body, mind, and spirit. The signature Watsu treatment, a water therapy based on Zen Shiatsu, is one of our favourite options. Set in warm waters, this technique allows for deep relaxation, helping to release tension and traumas while soothing the nervous system. The resort also offers personalised wellness experiences, including acupuncture, osteopathy, and bioimmunogenetics, ensuring that guests receive the highest level of care during their stay.

Dining at Restaurant Beni Axir

Meals at Es Racó d'Artà are an essential part of the holistic experience, with the restaurant, Beni Axir, offering dishes that celebrate the island’s rich culinary heritage. The menu includes traditional Mallorcan fare such as "Coca" (crispy oven-baked flatbread with vegetables), "Sobrassada" (a cured sausage made from pork-negre, salt, and paprika), and "Tumbet" (a seasonal vegetable dish ideal for vegetarians). The restaurant uses ingredients sourced directly from the estate's garden, as well as locally produced organic ingredients, ensuring that every meal is both sustainable and vibrant. Guests can also enjoy the resort's own fresh honey, it’s so delicious and harvested from the estate’s beekeeping activities, which adds a unique touch to breakfast offerings. The culinary philosophy emphasises seasonality, freshness, and respect for Mallorcan traditions.

Nearby Attractions

Located in the serene valley of the Parc Natural de la Peninsula de Llevant, Es Racó d’Artà is close to several picturesque attractions. The coastline stretches for more than 25 kilometers, offering pristine, undeveloped beaches that we loved like Sa Canova d’Artà and Cala Torta, where you can enjoy the untouched beauty of the area. In addition, the nearby town of Artà offers a charming village experience, with historical sites and an artisan market that showcases local craftsmanship. We also suggest exploring the surrounding hills, which are ideal for hiking, or venture out to the beautiful Bay of Alcúdia to the west.

A Retreat for the Soul

Whether it’s lounging by the pool, practicing yoga on the estate's trails, or enjoying a rejuvenating spa treatment, Es Racó d'Artà is a sanctuary for those seeking a slower, restorative experience. From the food to the architecture to the wellness treatments, everything has been designed with mindfulness in mind, offering guests a chance to unwind and embrace the art of simply being.
